Burke Library has two new databases available to students and faculty.  HeinOnline, a large publisher of historical, legal, and primary source material, has made these two collections available free of charge to researchers.  Both databases can be found on subject guides and the library's Database A-Z page.

The first collection, Gun Regulation and Legislation in America, contains periodicals, key compiled federal legislative histories, relevant congressional hearings, CRS Reports, Supreme Court briefs, and more.

The second collection is Slavery in America and the World: History, Culture & Law.  This database brings together, all essential legal materials on slavery in the United States and the English-speaking world. This includes every statute passed by every colony and state on slavery, every federal statute dealing with slavery, and all reported state and federal cases on slavery.
