Library Services and Support

At Burke Library, we are pleased to offer remote support to our Spring Hill College students, staff, and faculty.

Online assistance is available 9am-5pm Mon-Fri through the Ask Burke tab on the library's website, and text at 251-267-8877.  This includes research assistance, general questions, and "Curbside Service" of requested books or materials for students & faculty.

The Wilkins Lab will remain open 24/7 and can be accessed through Einstein’s with an SHC ID. The lab has 36 computers and two printers.

Returning Library materials & Interlibrary Loan materials

Library books and Interlibrary loan books should be returned in the book drop outside the front doors of the library.  Emails received about overdue materials are automated and can not be changed; If you have questions or need to contact us about returning books, please text 251-267-8877, or use the Ask Burke chat feature on the library’s website,

The Book Nook by the Friends of the Library

The Book Nook is temporarily closed due to COVID-19.  Please watch the library's website and social media channels for updates when they become available.

Guidelines & Regulations

  • Masks must be worn at all times while in the Library. This includes classrooms, study rooms, study tables and carrel desks.
  • Temperature checks are available at the front entrance by automated temperature screening system.
  • Hand sanitizer is available on all three floors via Purell dispenser. 
  • Social distance of six feet or more should be maintained at all times while in the Library. 
  • Food is not allowed in the Library. 
  • Violation will result in loss of Library privileges.
