Of those surveyed, the response rate for full-time faculty was 62%.

Most important services

The survey asked faculty to rate the importance of various services to them.  The following were the 10 services rated either "Ïmportant" or "Very Important"by the highest percentage of faculty:

  • BadgerWeb Academics (e.g. grading, class lists)
  • Support when you have a BadgerWeb Academic problem (e.g. grading, class lists)
  • Overall computing service
  • E-mail services
  • Departmental printers
  • Access to online resources from off-campus
  • Overall library service
  • The time it takes to resolve your desktop/laptop problems
  • Virus protection
  • Library support for your students' scholarly research

Highest satisfaction

The survey also asked faculty to rate their satisfaction with various services.  The following 10 services received the highest number of "Satisfied" or "Somewhat Satisfied" ratings:

  • Library circulation services
  • Physical course reserves
  • Study carrels in the library
  • Ease of finding physical materials in the library
  • Virus protection
  • Current library schedule
  • Moodle support
  • Web conferencing (e.g. Skype, Adobe Connect)
  • Overall library service
  • Library research instruction for academic courses
