⚜ Foundations in Information Literacy

Foundations in Information Literacy lessons teach essential skills and concepts about how to conduct college-level inquiry and research, as well as how to manage life in the Information Age. Completion of FIVE Foundations in Information Literacy lessons will earn the certificate. (Lessons in bold must be earned in this category.)


Lessons include:

⚜ Mastering My Major 

Lessons in the Mastering My Major category will familiarize students with the knowledge and tools of a particular discipline, enabling them to succeed within their major and to prepare for a career in their chosen field. Completion of any combination of TWO Foundations in Information Literacy lessons and THREE Mastering My Major lessons will earn the certificate. (Lessons in bold must be earned in this category.)


Lessons include:

⚜ Model Citizen

To be a Model Citizen in the 21st century requires knowledge of and experience with a wide range of news and information sources, an ability to discern facts from fake news, and an awareness of how our world is shaped by social media and other interactions with technology. Completion of any combination of TWO Foundations in Information Literacy lessons and THREE Model Citizen lessons will earn the certificate. (Lessons in bold must be earned in this category.)
