To grow intellectually in school and over the course of a lifetime, you should have the skills and habits of mind to research topics that are of interest and importance to you and others.

To wisely and meaningfully participate in society, you must develop critical reading and thinking skills when engaging with news and information outlets of all types, as well as in creating and disseminating knowledge.
